I know a guy who used this as a forum avatar, with "SUCK MY GAU-8" as a CUT.

A-10 East Demo bird. They chrome the gun muzzle as well as the "hubcaps", and engine spinner domes. Sometimes they go a little overboard and chrome the fuel dump mast as well. I still think the laser etched ones some guys in my old unit did are cooler.

I did the editing for the guy who shot it.
Original:
Rotate and crop it slightly:
Colors and contrast:
That was a couple of years ago on a huge Air to Air photography thread on the FredMiranda forums. Fellow Dutchman Andras Brandligt shot it.
It took some digging: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/60…

Interesting note, the GAU-8 is mounted off center and at a slight downward angle (2 degrees). This is done to help the plane deal with the huge amount of recoil . The barrel in the 9 o'clock position is the one that fires. It is lined up with the aircraft centerline and the angle the gun is mounted at alleviates the effect its recoil would have on yaw and pitch.
And the link to everyones favorite xkcd What If? that talks about the GAU-8 being used to power a car.

No wonder that picture looked familiar!
